Ahhh Chocolate ….my friend and at the same time my foe.

It is the ultimate in unrequited love and I’m sure it is like this for most of us Girlies, you love it dearly but it does not love you or your hips.

But is it worth it?

Psssh hell yes!! There is always the treadmill or gym to sort out the hips problem.

Besides, where would we be without chocolate?

Hmmmm not exactly a nice thought!!

When you think of it, you can actually plan your whole year out with a chocolate calendar…

January, love it or hate it, it always arrives.

For many reasons we have decided that this is the year we are going to get our backsides out of the ass-groves in the couch, lose a bit of weight and get fit. One of those reasons is our pending nuptials later in the year, so we are giving ourselves plenty of time.

When we met we were both quite fit and happy with our bodies, but as happens when you settle into a comfortable relationship the pounds seem to appear from nowhere and settle nicely around the tummy.

We were always Dog people.

Even before we met we both had dogs, but both agreed when we got together that we wouldn't have another dog for a long time as they were like having kids and such hard work that we didn't have time for.

Then we moved to the country.

One thing you learn very quickly when you hear the scratching, start discovering suspicious looking droppings and as you discover the cupboard of nibbled food is that you need a cat!!!

Let It Snow..... I Don't Think So!!!

This year I didn’t really have much time to get into the Christmas spirit.

Since the first snowfall at the end of November the last month has been a total nightmare.

We were to travel to Italy this year to spend a few days with family in Milano, so with flights sorted and plans made we decided it would be futile to even buy a Christmas tree!!
